Armed and Dangerous
Anything can happen when May and I are together...even to the final hours she was here.
After my previous post, the plan was to retire early for a change since she was leaving for LCCT early the next day. No such luck.
Our friend from our rendezvous at Sunway previously suddenly decided to come down to Shah Alam for a final get-together before May leaves. So after leaving the CC, and only a few minutes at home to freshen up, we went out again to meet up with her and her boyfriend at the nearby eatery that was still open at 1am. Since we had a late dinner, we just had drinks and rojak. Her boyfriend's treat. (Isn't it just chivalrous that guys just love to pay for us? hehe...) Around 3am, her boyfriend gave us a ride home one-by-one on his bike too.
After about 1hr+ of sleep under our eyelids,my complicated friend came to fetch us. By 5.30am we were on our way to LCCT. Enroute we stopped for coffee at one of the stops on the highway. May and I had coffee that was very very kaw2 punya! It tasted so bitter I gagged! Couldn't think of the coffee without feeling nauseous. Yuck!
At 6.30am, we safely arrived at LCCT. My friend left us since he had to get to work. So it's just May and I at LCCT for the next 6 hours! Her flight is 2.15pm so by 12.30pm she checked-in and I would be able to get back home.
BTW folks,LCCT stands for "Low Cost Carriage Terminal" and by "low cost" it really means low cost! There is only one floor - ground, there are no chairs in the departure hall and there is no flat screen TV that has cable 24/7. What were we to do all those hours of vigil??!!
Like I said,
Anything can happen when May and I are together...
We parked the trolley right opposite the ladies room and sat on the floor. That was the most strategic place to "set up camp". Easy access when nature calls. ;-p And when nature didn't call, we had our nails done! Pink Glitter nail polish. Our little manicure/pedicure session got some glances from passer-bys. Things couldn't possibly be crazier than that right?
Little did we know....
After a few hours, we shifted camp to the arrival hall instead. They had chairs there! Who knew? Hehe... So we picked a spot and had a picnic style breakfast of nasi lemak which May bought during our coffee-nightmare on the way. Since the arrival hall was less crowded than the departure hall, it was very cold. So we took a walk outside the building to keep warm. There it was very hectic with loads of people arriving from the cabs and the cars and even buses. (There was 4 buses of teachers-in-training too.)
The sleep caught up with us then so we went back indoors and this time moved our camp into McD. We shared one regular coke and one large fries for lunch. We weren't hungry actually. We just needed the table to place our heads. Zzzzz.... Soon, it was almost time for her to check-in so we went back to our first camp (opposite the ladies') and freshened up for the trip. The people traffic was even more hectic then.
12.30pm. Check-in counter.
May placed 2 bags on the conveyor belt to be X-rayed through customs. There were two customs officer at the counter and when it came to May's bags, the belt abruptly stopped and the officers stared at the screen of that X-ray machine thingy. (We kinda knew what was happening. We subconsciously have been expecting it.)
The lady customs officer went to consult with the officers at the other check-in counter. The guy officer looked at us.
May (innocently) : Senapang tu ke? (Is this cos of the gun?)
Guy officer: (smiling) Ape tu? (What is it?)
May and Mar: Lighter.
Guy officer: Berani ek bawa lighter. (How dare you bring lighter.)
May and Mar: Tak boleh ke? (Cannot bring ah?)
The lady officer returns and shakes her head at her colleague.
To us,"Open the bag."
So, May's little lighter-gun was confiscated. Fortunately they allowed me to bring it back with me, although they would only give it to me AFTER May boards her flight. As if I'd be so bold as to pass it to her before she leaves. Imagine that! May and I...arms dealer/smuggler. Hahahahahaha...Needless to say we were hysterically laughing after that "run-in" with the authorities. Hahahahhaha...
*Laughter subsides*
Oh...I really miss her. Take care DD. I'm flying off to Kch in a few hours.
Hopefully no more run-ins with the customs.
Hahahahaha....

you should do this, keep the lighter with you, then let them scan the baggage, after retrieve your baggage from the custom officer, just put the lighter in the bag (without them looking or just do it at the check in counter while you are waiting for your turn :P), then walk to the check in counter and check in the baggage. Tra la......la... It's that simple :) Don't ask me what I 'smuggled' before hehehe...
